Sitting Up

This is the first picture we have of Alexis sitting up unaided. She is growing up so fast and will be 5 months old in just under a week.

 

P.S. Today was Kelsey and Brad's wedding. Congratulations to the happy couple! I'll post some pictures soon when I get them off my sister's camera.

Family

I was so happy that we got to see my Grandma and Papa while we were in Oregon visiting my family. I had such a good relationship with my grandparents growing up (especially my grandma), and I hope that Alexis will be close to her grandparents too.

Church #16

Well, we don't have a picture of Alexis today.  Of all the things to forget in Australia, I forgot the charger for my camera battery and my camera is now dead.  But, she's going to wear the same thing next week and I'll just use my mom's phone to post a picture, because she looked so cute!

On a completely unrelated topic, Alexis reached out to me for the first time this week (while someone else was holding her).  This was one of the things I was most looking forward to.  There's just something so special when your child acknowledges that you are special to them.  I felt so loved.

Another go

Note to readers:  I started this post at the end of February, and then forgot to post it:
 

Alexis normally loves bath time, but last time we tried to give her a bath in a normal size tub, she hated it (screamed the whole time). That was a few weeks ago, so we decided to give it another go. This time around, she loved it. She loved laying on her comfy sponge turtle and kicking and splashing her legs.

Daddy took this picture . . . a great picture, but do you notice the headband? John took a ton of pictures, but her headband was over her ear in all of them.
