Water Baby

Yesterday, we took Alexis to swimming lessons for the first time. She absolutely loved it! She's in a 'mommy and me' class called "Swordy Tots." We got really lucky with the class we signed up for because there's two teachers and only four kids (there can be up to 12 kids).

Alexis was a natural in the water (takes after her daddy). You can see in the video how she seems to instinctively know to paddle her arms as soon as I float her on her stomach. So cute!

Teeth!

Alexis finally has some teeth! Her first tooth cut through on Monday (left bottom central incisor), just two days shy of Alexis being 7 months old. Then, her second tooth came through today (right bottom central incisor). Maybe she will start sleeping better now. Well, we can hope, can't we?

Birthday Fun

On Saturday, Alexis and I went to the Strand to celebrate Elle's first birthday. Alexis had fun playing in the shade. We put our feet in the water, but it was cold! Alexis looked absolutely adorable in her sun hat:

Bathing Beauty

John gave Alexis her first 'big girl' bath tonight. So far, we've only bathed her in shallow water lying down, but tonight she got to sit up in deep water. She loved it! As you can see in the pictures, she had a lot of fun splashing around (our walls were soaked afterward) and playing with Rubber Ducky. Maybe tomorrow night, we won't make the water quite so deep.

Happy Mother's Day!

Excuse the bad bed head. John assured me when he was taking the pictures that my hair looked fine, even "good" he said. He is biased. It most certainly does not look good. Alexis sure looks adorable though.
